THE PROCEDURE
Your journey to the perfect semi permanent make up
All semi permanent make up treatments include a complimentary consultation which will provide you with a personalised treatment plan. It will also give the opportunity to ask any questions and explore how semi permanent make up will benefit you. This will help you to make an informed decision and feel confident about your choices. A patch test will also be completed.
A topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) is applied to the area being treated. This will reduce any discomfort during the semi permanent makeup procedure. As this is starting to work, we discuss how you would like your cosmetic tattoo to look when completed and which techniques to use. We will find the perfect colour and shade to compliment your complexion.
Following this, the semi permanent makeup specialist will draw the outline onto your skin using a make up pencil. You will be able to see the shape and position of the finished result and this will also be used as a template. We ensure that you are fully happy with the shape before continuing. The pigments are then inserted into the skin using the medically certified tattoo machine.
All aftercare will be explained at the appointment and you will be given an aftercare leaflet. You may see some slight redness and swelling to the area initially but this will soon subside.
Avenue Skin Clinic offers a semi permanent makeup top up, up to 12 weeks after initial treatment, free of charge. This will ensure that the colour of your cosmetic tattoo looks its best.
A colour boost to your semi permanent make up is recommended every 9-18 months, to maintain a fresh look.
